Join to apply for the Mechanical Technician - Workshop Based role at RSE.
Due to continued growth, WES, part of the RSE Group, is looking for a Mechanical Technician to join us on a permanent basis at our Fabrication Workshop in Pontyclun. You will work alongside an established team and assist with the fabrication and build of chemical dosing units for use in water projects throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
* Dismantle and re-assemble mechanical and plastic assemblies.
* Carrying out fabrication and welding of plastic pipework.
* Inspect equipment and identify faulty components.
* Ensure quality, environmental and health and safety procedures are adhered to.
* Carry out preventative maintenance on plant and equipment.
* Ensure safe use of hand tools, machinery, and other equipment.
* Maintain equipment to a high and safe standard.
What Do You Need?
* Possess a mechanical understanding and knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and hydrostatic systems.
* Experience in mechanical discipline, preferably with experience working with plastics or in an industrial/workshop environment.
* Ability to understand and use schematics and maintenance drawings to analyse and fault-find within these systems.
* Organised with the ability to plan sequences required to remove and reinstall components within a working system.
* Willingness and ability to learn new skills.
* Capable of self-checking work and uphold high personal standards for Environment, Quality and Health & Safety.
* Full UK Driving Licence
