As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will be responsible for assessing care needs and evaluating programmes of care to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients. In the absence of the charge nurse, the post holder will have ongoing responsibility for managing a clinical area, including supervising and deploying staff.

What you'll need to bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration/SVQIII in Operating Department Practice/Diploma in Operating Department Practice
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
* Postgraduate expertise within your speciality/area of practice demonstrating the required breadth of knowledge to lead safely and effectively.
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within your speciality/area of practice.
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures to deliver leadership within your speciality/area of practice.
* Leadership skills for managing service delivery day-to-day.
* Evidence of continuous professional development in your area of speciality, including study days, courses, or postgraduate qualifications.
* Excellent team-working, leadership, motivation, and initiative skills.
* Strong listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of basic IT.

Location and Working Pattern
This role is based in the Theatre Recovery department at University Hospital Monklands.
Shift pattern: Monday – Sunday, fully rotational with on-call requirements.
