Company – Designer and Manufacturer Job Title – Estimator Location – Dartford, Kent (Hybrid) Salary – Circa £35k - £45k We have a new job opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join an expanding company in the Kent area. This is a full time/permanent/HYBRID role with offices in Dartford. The successful candidate will be responsible for regular and ongoing contact with both external and internal stakeholders. This includes being a point of contact for customers, suppliers and ongoing support for business development and project Managers. They will also be required to carry out the progressing sales quotations through to order, producing accurate and timely estimates and quotations with supporting documentation, all whilst considering despatch efficiency. Key Duties * Generation of accurate estimates and quotations. * Liaise with existing suppliers to obtain prices for estimates as required including obtaining technical specifications and ensuring compliance with our request, ensure any existing prices are updated as needed. * Processing and progressing Sales Quotation through to Sales Order and Contract Review. This will require close liaison with Sales Team and Project Managers. * Raise and issue pro-forma invoices as required by the Sales team. * Review in-coming quotation requests via telephone/email, assess if all required information has been included and that the proposed project meets company design / performance / pricing criteria and the return date can be met. * Prepare and produce estimates and quotations (letters if required) ensuring on-time despatch and customer receipt with duplicates to all main contractors where necessary for their tenders. * Making sure that when converting to orders that the prices are still valid and that any adjustments to the costs remain acceptable and within the set guidelines (when the order has been received. Check that the customer has enough credit for the order, If not discuss with relevant salesperson. * Work with the Sales team to update the quote and order banks on Efacs, ensuring all take to sale dates are updated as and when notified of a change. * To support Sales team and Project Managers with various administrative tasks, ensuing that goods are purchased and received to meet customer orders, maintain a purchasing log of all orders raised with expected material due dates, ensuring suppliers are chased to ensure dates are still on track, if not inform the relevant member of the Sales team and Project Managers are advised of possible delays. * Assist the Project Managers in the production of generic site information packs. * Invoicing * To process invoicing as required * Other ad hoc tasks as defined by your line manager * You are required to carry out your duties in accordance with the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures and adhere to all externally relevant Health & Safety laws
