You will work closely with the IT department to provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain IT equipment and systems. You will be based at one of our schools in Tunbridge Wells but you will be required to travel across different schools where necessary. As a representative, you will be confident to converse with school staff to assist them with their IT queries and requirements. About the Role and You Contact type: Full-time, permanent Salary: £25,000 to £35,000 per annum, dependent on experience Start date: Immediate start available Location: Tunbridge Wells - Kent As a Field IT Engineer, you will be responsible for: Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems, including computers, printers, and networking equipment. Provide technical support to resolve hardware and software issues. Perform routine maintenance and updates to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems. Implement network infrastructure improvements and upgrades. Visiting schools ensuring that their IT systems are running smoothly and troubleshooting any issues. What Are We Looking For? We are looking for someone who has: A bachelors degree [from a recognised UK university] in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (desirable). Proven experience as an IT technician or a similar role. Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems. Familiarity with networking principles and troubleshooting. Excellent problem-solving skills. The ability to work as part of a team. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
