Overview
We’re seeking an experienced IFS Business Analyst to support ERP delivery within complex engineering and project-based environments. This role is ideal for someone who understands the intricacies of engineering operations and can translate business requirements into effective IFS solutions across the full project lifecycle.
You’ll play a key role in aligning IFS functionality with engineering, manufacturing, and project delivery processes in highly technical settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead workshops with engineering, project, and operational teams to capture detailed business requirements
* Translate requirements into functional IFS solutions across core modules
* Support the implementation and optimisation of IFS Cloud / IFS Applications
* Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Finance teams to ensure system alignment with project delivery
* Configure and support modules such as:
* Projects & Project Accounting
* Manufacturing (Engineer-to-Order / Make-to-Order)
* Supply Chain & Procurement
* Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)
* Map and improve end-to-end engineering processes (design → procurement → build → delivery → maintenance)
* Support data migration, testing (UAT), and training activities
* Ensure solutions align with industry best practices and engineering standards
Required Experience
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst working with IFS (IFS Cloud or IFS Applications)
* Strong understanding of engineering or project-based business models
* Experience in end-to-end ERP implementations
* Ability to work with both technical teams and engineering stakeholders
* Strong process mapping and documentation skills
Engineering Sector Expertise (Highly Desirable)
* Engineer-to-Order (ETO) or Make-to-Order (MTO) environments
* Complex Bill of Materials (BOM) and product structures
* Project lifecycle management (planning, costing, delivery)
* Integration between engineering design and ERP (e.g. CAD to IFS)
* Asset lifecycle management and maintenance strategies
* Contract and milestone-based project accounting
Key Skills
* Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
* Excellent stakeholder engagement across engineering and IT teams
* Ability to simplify complex engineering processes into system solutions
* Experience with data structures, reporting, and integrations within IFS
* Agile or hybrid delivery experience preferred
