Job Description:
Newly Weds® Foods is a leading, privately owned global food ingredients business and has been innovating since 1932. The European division is a market leader in the manufacture of coatings, seasonings and functional ingredient systems.
Today, Newly Weds® Foods is a world leader in food ingredient technology. A network of R&D, manufacturing and service facilities around the globe allows us to serve our customers’ needs in more than 68 countries. But despite our size and scope, we’ve continued to be an independent, family‑owned business answerable only to the demands of our customers. That’s why we continue to invest in infrastructure, human resources and capacity to keep pace with our customers’ needs and expectations.
This role is an initial 3-month contract, to cover long-term sickness, however the tenure will be regularly reviewed. Day rate is £250-£400 per day and immediate start is available.
The Role:
As an interim HR Specialist, you will support the HR Manager, wider HR Team and Site with all HR related duties. You are expected to immerse yourself fully into the Newly Weds Foods culture and drive the HR agenda forward.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Take ownership of an extensive, complex casework which includes, but is not limited to, investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, capability / performance management, dismissals and restructures
* Provide generalist support to the HR function, dealing with daily enquiries from colleagues and the wider Newly Weds Foods community
* Take ownership of daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc reporting. This includes, but not limited to, reporting daily absence levels, employee data, HR performance and caseload metrics
* Act as the point of escalation for any ER related meetings as appropriate
* Attend meetings as the HR Representative, as required
* Provide sound HR advice, ensuring that it is in the best interests of the business, whilst ensuring that the business remains protected and not put at risk
* Ensure that the company values, behaviours and ways of working are adopted at all times
* Support and drive the equity and diversity agenda across the UK businesses
* Work in and actively promote a safety compliant culture
* Support with the recruitment and onboarding processes as required
Person Specification:
* CIPD Qualified (Level 7 or above as a minimum)
* Extensive experience working with ER matters and complex casework
* Experience working with a multi-faceted food manufacturing environment, and understanding the nuances and challenges that this can bring would be a distinct advantage
* Full UK driving licence
Additional Information:
This is an office-based role, working between the core hours of 08.00-18.00, Monday to Friday, however due to the nature of the role and the business, a degree of flexibility is required. Although based at the Banbury site, you will be expected to support and travel to other sites across the UK network.
