* Must be courteous to patients, visitors and employees.

* Enhances professional growth and development through approved participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops. Participates in appropriate in-service

* Attends meetings as required.
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE (Job Code 00107)
* Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
* Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
* One to two years experience with swallowing disorders preferred.
* Adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the ASHA.
* Maintains current CPR certification.
* Demonstrates current clinical competency.
* Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Job Code (JOB CODE 00103)
* Entry level degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited Speech-language Pathology Program.
* Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience.
* Documentation of Specialist Certification.
* Holds current National Provider Identifier (NPI).
* Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
MATHEMATICAL And COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Basic computer skills.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its most difficult phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Purpose of Position
This position is responsible for providing diagnostic and treatment services for patients referred with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing and/or related disorders. The pathologist will assess, test, treat and evaluate children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients, recognizing age specific differences. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in helping to restore function and in preventing disability.
Schedule Details
80PP (40hrs per week), Rot. Days, 8a-4p, Outpatient position with rotating inpatient coverage for weekends and holidays
