Overview

Looking for a new challenge? Work with Sense and make a real difference to the lives of the people we support and their families! We have a permanent role for a Support Worker at our CQC outstanding service in Margate, 35 hours per week. You must hold a full manual UK Driver's License, and be willing to drive a Sense vehicle for this role. No previous experience is required; full training will be provided for part-time and full-time roles.

Sense are offering a Support Worker position in Margate at £12.50 per hour. Our service is home to four characterful individuals with different personalities. We believe this is their home and it should feel homely and comfortable.

We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and a great problem solver who can coach members of the team. The person-centered care has supported garden development, helped people we support become part of the local community, and maintained strong family links. One member even fulfilled their dream of climbing the O2!

Here at Sense, we support people with complex disabilities to live the life they choose. Your priority will be empowering the people you support to live an independent life.


Responsibilities

* Support people with everyday tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
* Assist with personal care and hygiene.
* Support with finances and wellbeing, including medication where required.
* Go into the community for shopping or other trips.
* Support their social life and nightlife.
* Contribute to a person-centered approach and help individuals maintain their independence.


Requirements and Qualifications

* Full manual UK Driving Licence and willingness to drive Sense vehicles.
* No prior experience required; full training provided for part-time and full-time roles.
* Role is a 35-hour-per-week position.
* Ability to remain flexible in a role where no two days are the same.
* Positive, caring, and empathetic attitude; strong problem-solving and team-coaching abilities.
