About the Role
Our client, a leading engineering firm, is seeking a Quality Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis in Warrington. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects across a range of sectors including Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Petrochemical, Energy, Utilities, Chemicals and Construction.
The Role:
As a Quality Advisor you will be responsible for providing quality support to the projects including quality assurance, quality control, and audit process. You will have 5+ years' experience working in a highly regulated industry (petrochemical /Oil & Gas/Aviation/ Construction).
Key Activities:
As a Quality Advisor you will be responsible for providing Quality related advice and guidance to the Project and capture all quality related data, such as audit findings, non-conformities, observations, improvement opportunities.
Responsible for conducting internal & external audits, in accordance with the published project audit programme, and produce reports in relation to audit outcomes. Prepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP's) and supporting QA documentation.
Responsible for liaising with Project Quality Control inspectors to provide assurance that all Hold Points/ Witness Points are met in a compliant manner. Validate and implement and effectiveness of Project corrective actions resulting from any NC or internal/ external audits.
Experience & Qualifications:
1. Good Engineering and QA/QC background
2. CQI/ IRCA Membership or looking towards accreditation - Essential
3. Recognised and current Internal Auditor qualification - Essential
4. Must have a full understanding on how to deliver internal audits of management systems and be able to communicate outcomes.
5. Development of project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs etc) and review of supplier QA documentation.
6. Demonstrable, current knowledge and experience of Quality Management Systems in a regulated environment such as construction, petrochemical, aerospace etc
7. The ability to understand and interpret ISO Management System Standards, technical drawings and specifications is desirable.
8. Good understanding of ISO 45001 & 14001.
9. 5+ years' experience working in a highly regulated industry (petrochemical /Oil & Gas/Aviation/ Construction)
Experience/qualification in one or more of the following special processes:
10. NDT, heat treatment, surface treatment, dimensional verification a distinct advantage.
11. Pipework, steelwork and insulation knowledge -Desirable
12. Detailed knowledge of related specifications (API, ASME, ASTM, ISO, PED, etc.) Advantageous
13. Travel to multiple sites
