Painter Decorator – Gillingham (6-Month Temporary Contract) We are currently recruiting an experienced Painter Decorator to work on a 6-month temporary contract based in Gillingham. This role is PAYE and offered via Pertemps. As a Painter Decorator, you will be responsible for internal and external painting and decorating duties, ensuring a high standard of finish across all works. This Painter Decorator position is ideal for someone reliable, skilled, and able to work independently or as part of a team.Key Details
o Location: Gillingham, Medway, Kent
o Contract Type: Temporary – c6 months
o Pay Rate: £16.38 per hour (PAYE via Pertemps)
o Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
o Overtime: Saturdays may be required
Painter Decorator Responsibilities
o Carrying out painting and decorating tasks to a high standard
o Preparing surfaces including sanding, filling, and priming
o Applying paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes
o Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
o Following health and safety guidelines at all times
Painter Decorator Requirements
o Proven experience as a Painter Decorator
o Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
o Good customer service skills as you will work inside customers accomodation
o Ability to work to deadlines
o Own tools preferred
o Basic DBS check required (or willingness to undertake one)
