What You’ll Be Doing
As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you’ll be a visible and trusted presence in the district. Your responsibilities will include:
* Patrolling on‑street and off‑street parking areas on foot or by vehicle
* Issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) fairly and accurately in line with regulations
* Supporting members of the public with parking‑related enquiries
* Using handheld devices and body‑worn cameras to record clear evidence
* Checking signage, road markings and reporting any defects
* Carrying out simple checks on parking equipment and enforcement tools
* Identifying and reporting abandoned vehicles
* Following relevant legislation, Traffic Regulation Orders and council procedures to ensure safe, consistent operations
You’ll work closely with a supportive team of fellow Civil Enforcement Officers and supervisors, while often managing your own patrols and workload independently.

About You
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in a public‑facing role and can deal confidently and calmly with a wide range of people
* Pays close attention to detail and can record information accurately
* Can remain professional, polite and helpful—even in challenging situations
* Works well alone and as part of a team
* Holds a current, clean UK manual driving licence
* Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather
* Is willing to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis
You don’t need previous enforcement experience—full training will be provided .
