About the Role
A well-established regional practice is looking to appoint a Commercial Property Solicitor to join its experienced property team in Hereford. The firm acts for individuals, landowners and businesses across a broad range of commercial property and agricultural matters, providing a strong platform for a solicitor looking to develop a broader property specialism.
This is a genuine development opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor or an experienced property solicitor who would like to build their knowledge of agricultural and rural property work. Previous agricultural experience would be beneficial but is not essential, provided you have a solid grounding in property law and a genuine interest in developing within this area.
You will work closely with experienced solicitors on a varied caseload, including:
* Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property
* Commercial leases and general landlord and tenant matters
* Property finance and secured lending transactions
* Development land and property investment matters
* Sales and purchases of farms, farmland and rural property
* Agricultural tenancies and agreements
* Easements, rights of way and other property arrangements
* Supporting landowners, businesses and agricultural clients with wider property matters
The agricultural work is overseen by an experienced department head who specialises across agricultural, commercial property and landlord and tenant matters, offering valuable supervision and direct exposure to this specialist area.
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you will:
* Be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales, from Newly Qualified level upwards
* Have completed a Commercial Property, Real Estate or Agricultural Property training seat, or have relevant post-qualification experience
* Demonstrate a good understanding of commercial property transactions
* Have an interest in developing experience within agricultural and rural property work
* Be confident communicating with business owners, landowners and private clients
* Be organised, commercially aware and able to manage competing priorities
* Be keen to develop your technical knowledge within a supportive regional practice
