Overview:
Due to ill health of current PA, I am now seeking 1 or 2 compassionate caring individuals to fill the position(s) of Personal Care Assistants. The hours are flexible and can fit round school times or other jobs if needed. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to myself so I can carry on living on my smallholding.
Applicants to this position must have a GSOH and be passionate about animals as I have rescue dogs. This is to assist myself live independently with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis and heart and respiratory problems. I live on a smallholding with a few sheep, 3ponies, 6 chickens, 5 dogs, and 2 cats.
You will be paid mileage to and from work up to 24 miles per shift at 0.45p per mile
Duties:
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Prepare food so I can cook meals as required
- Perform housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas, sweeping, mopping, hoovering, and laundry.
- Accompany myself to appointments or social outings
- Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support
-Have a GSOH and be an animal lover is essential.
Requirements:
- Compassionate nature and genuine desire to help others
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Reliable transportation to travel to myself as I live rurally
- Valid driver's license (if applicable)
- Ability to pass a background check.
