Scrap Metal Quality Inspector
Location: Ellesmere Port
Employment Type: Full time, permanent
Salary: £Negotiable depending on experience
Hours: 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
* Inspect and monitor the quality of ferrous scrap materials.
* Ensure all products meet agreed specifications and internal standards
* Conduct regular sampling and testing of materials
* Maintain detailed inspection records and reports
* Identify and report quality issues or non-conformances
* Support continuous improvement and the development of quality procedures
* Adhere to all health, safety, environmental, and legal regulations
Requirements:
* Previous experience in quality control or inspection essential.
* Previous experience working in the scrap metal industry highly advantageous.
* Understanding of ferrous scrap grades and relevant specifications preferred but not essential.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams.
* Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations
* Good IT skills for record keeping
Package Details:
* Permanent full-time role
* 07:00-17:00 Monday to Friday
* 23 days annual leave + Bank Holidays
