Job Title: Lead Veterinary Surgeon Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. Bank holidays on a rota (paid extra). An exciting opportunity to join our Glenfield Tier 3 RCVS-accredited Hospital in Leicester in a Leadership role! We are seeking a Lead Vet to line manage a wonderful team of 8 vets at our state of the art hospital in Leicester, with the support of a Practice Manager, and Clinical Director. The role will have a clinical focus, with 0.5 days per week admin time. Why join us? RCVS registration and a minimum of 5 years general practice experience. Existing line management experience is desirable but not essential, there is development support into leadership for the right person. A passion for leading and encouraging team development. GDP advisor or desire to become a GDP Advisor. Ability to perform routine neutering (cats and dogs of all sizes) without support – including FLANK cat spays Ability to perform abdominal ultrasound, TFAST and AFAST imaging without support Ability to perform exploratory laparotomies, splenectomies, GDVs, gastrotomy and enterotomy without support Confidence with routine consults in 15 minuets and routine dental cases.
