The Employer:
We are looking to fill the role of Youth Development Worker – Tenancy Sustainment, within a housing environment. Our client aims to meet housing demand and enable local companies to recruit from their communities. Their growth strategy will contribute to economic growth and sustain around 7,000 jobs in the building industry and its supply chain. They plan to increase stock by 5,000 homes over the next 5 years, providing more affordable housing options on a low-cost rent and sale basis. The Role:
* Supporting young people (18-25 years) in a Key Worker role.
* Providing and updating action plans and risk assessments.
* Encouraging young people in supported accommodation to achieve their dreams.
* Being part of an on-site team supporting young residents with their living needs.
* Ensuring young people develop life skills to transition into the community.
The Candidate will need:
* A drive to support young people from diverse backgrounds.
* An understanding of young people's needs and interests for appropriate action plans.
* A passion for immediate care and support for young people with safeguarding and mental health issues.
* Resilience and flexibility when dealing with others.
* Ability to work under pressure, produce support plans, and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to work alone or in a team.
* A positive, creative approach with a can-do attitude while maintaining professionalism.
* A valid driving license.
SUMMARY:
* This role is full-time, temporary.
* Working hours up to 37 hours/week, between 9:30 am - 8 pm.
* An enhanced DBS check for adults and children is required or in process.
