Job Description: Electronics Technician Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire Salary: Up to £40k per annum Key Responsibilities Assemble complex electrical and electronics assemblies according to technical drawings, wiring schematics, and assembly instructions. Build, route, and inspect custom cable harnesses and wire assemblies according to schematics and build documentation. Assemble and integrate printed circuit boards (PCBs) into electromechanical subassemblies and enclosures. Perform precision soldering (through-hole and SMT rework) and crimping to industry standards. Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on harnesses, boards, and subassemblies. Assist in debugging and reworking faulty assemblies using standard test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.). Maintain detailed build documentation and support continuous improvement through feedback to engineering. Follow ESD-safe practices and maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations. Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and fellow technicians to support full system builds. Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and functional tests on completed assemblies. Perform troubleshooting and rework of faulty assemblies with minimal supervision.
