Job Summary
Senior Occupational Therapist – Neuro Rotational Programme – Addenbrooke’s Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust. This role is for a highly skilled practitioner to deliver specialised acute and early rehabilitation within a multidisciplinary team covering stroke, neuro‑rehabilitation, neurosciences, intensive care and major trauma.
Responsibilities
* Provide specialised acute and early rehabilitation to patients in your caseload.
* Work autonomously and without direct supervision, integrating available evidence‑base.
* Support and work alongside other multidisciplinary team members to ensure delivery of the highest possible standard of service.
* Actively participate in the training and development of junior staff members, Therapy Assistants and Apprentices.
* Lead on service development projects.
* Support the Team Leader in planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating the Occupational Therapy Service on a day‑to‑day basis.
* Be an integral part of the highly specialised multidisciplinary team, including Consultants, Specialist Nurses, and Specialist Physiotherapists.
Qualifications & Skills
* Experience as an Occupational Therapist with good communication and a wide range of clinical skills.
* Experience working with patients with a neurological diagnosis.
* Experience developing service improvement projects.
* Evidence of working in acute care or community with complex patients.
* Commitment to evidence‑based therapy and patient flow improvement.
* Proven clinical educator, able to set up placements and contribute to the education programme.
* Strong teamwork and inter‑professional collaboration skills.
