Job overview
We are offering an interim opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role within our Dementia and Older People's Mental Health Psychiatric Liaison Team.
As Clinical Lead, you will provide expert advice, clinical leadership, supervision, and training to the team. You will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality mental health care to individuals living with dementia, those with suspected dementia, and older adults experiencing mental health challenges.
This role is an integral part of the senior leadership team, contributing to the effective, efficient, and sustainable development of our service. You will work collaboratively with Service Leads, Team Managers, the Governance Team, Quality Lead, and Operational Leads to drive excellence and innovation in care delivery.

* Provide expert clinical assessment, treatment, and support for individuals with dementia or suspected dementia in acute hospitals, care homes, and community settings.
* Deliver specialist advice to patients, carers, and professionals to promote high-quality, personalised care.
* Undertake bio-psychosocial assessments and contribute to care planning.
* Offer clinical guidance across health and social care teams, including legal framework expertise.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care pathways.
* Lead service development initiatives and contribute to research, audit, and clinical governance.
* Ensure services meet performance, quality, and information targets.
* Provide clear leadership and operational management of the liaison team, ensuring high standards of care delivery.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Education / Qualifications and Relevant Experience
Essential criteria
* Current professional registration – NMC
* Professional qualification – RMN
* Educated to master's level or equivalent relevant experience
* Familiar with and experience of clinical supervision
* Significant post registration experience in a clinical setting
