Freedom Networks is currently recruiting for a candidate to coordinate all Streetworks notices and permits for cabling and overhead line projects across the Essex Region. The role involves providing Streetworks support in accordance with business operations and TMA/NRWSA standards, and being integral in the successful application of our works management system. The candidate will support field operations in managing a fully optimized workforce, meeting service performance standards and deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administer emergency and planned streetworks notices/permits
* Open and close streetworks notices/permits, including registering reinstatement details
* Liaise with Local Authorities and supervisors
* Coordinate with third parties (e.g., parking suspensions, bus stop suspensions, road closures)
* Report and administer defect notices
* Respond to FPNs and Section 74 charges
* Ensure notice/permit numbers are included in job packs
* Monitor notices/permits to prevent overruns
* Manage UKPN Streetworks interface, challenging and investigating charges and fines to achieve the best outcomes for Freedom
* Demonstrate good organizational and time management skills
* Work proactively, accurately, and methodically under pressure and strict deadlines
* React effectively to changing situations
* Possess PC literacy with good knowledge of Excel and Outlook
* Perform any other duties appropriate to the role
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in submitting permits
* Experience in opening and closing streetworks notices/permits, including reinstatement registration
* Ideally familiar with Street Manager
* Ability to work confidently under pressure
* Comfortable working with deadlines
