?? About the Role
East Yorkshire County Council is looking for an experienced and driven Fostering Team Manager to provide leadership and oversight of a dedicated team supporting foster carers and children in care. Based at County Hall in Beverley, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in children's lives while leading with clarity and compassion.
�? Key Responsibilities
* ?? Lead and supervise a team of fostering social workers and support staff
* ?? Ensure high-quality assessments, supervisions, and support plans for foster carers
* ??? Promote safeguarding and permanence planning for children and young people
* ?? Oversee service performance, data management, and audit compliance
* ??? Provide leadership during panel preparation, strategy meetings, and reviews
* ?? Collaborate with multi-agency professionals and senior leadership teams
* ?? Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, fostering standards, and practice guidance
? What We're Looking For
* �? Qualified Social Worker with SWE registration
* ?? Proven experience in children's services management, ideally in fostering
* ?? Strong understanding of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and LAC procedures
* ????? Confident leader with excellent communication, supervision, and organisational skills
* ?? Enhanced DBS and Photographic ID must be provided on arrival
