An independent consultancy with a strong delivery reputation is looking for a Project Manager to support key client programmes across Infrastructure, Defence, Nuclear, Energy (including Renewables), Rail, Highways, Aviation, Utilities (Water, Power), Government and Public Sector, and Critical National Infrastructure. This role is embedded in live delivery, not sat on the sidelines. You’ll be working directly with clients and internal teams to keep programmes moving, focused, and on track.
This is a hands-on delivery role. You’ll lead day-to-day programme activity, bringing together planning, risk, cost and governance to drive outcomes. You’ll need to be confident engaging with stakeholders, managing moving parts, and making decisions that reflect the realities of delivery, not just the theory. Whether it’s supporting key milestones, managing change, or guiding reporting, your role will be central to how the programme is run.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead project delivery across planning, risk, cost and reporting disciplines
• Manage stakeholder engagement, both internally and client-side
• Support and run governance cycles, progress reviews and change control
• Identify issues early, and drive resolution to keep delivery on track
• Contribute to the set-up and improvement of project delivery processes
What They’re Looking For
• Experience managing projects within infrastructure, energy, or engineering sectors
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with multiple stakeholders
• Strong understanding of planning, risk, cost and PMO disciplines
• Confident communicator with a delivery-first mindset
• Proactive, adaptable, and focused on making progress
Why This Role
You’ll join a consultancy that prioritises delivery quality and long-term client partnerships. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, supported by an experienced team, and given space to lead. The programmes are interesting, large-scale and complex, with genuine room for you to shape outcomes and build your career.
In return, you’ll get a competitive salary, a strong benefits package including private healthcare, pension, regular salary reviews, and support for training or chartership. The hybrid setup is flexible, and the culture is delivery-focused, no micromanagement, just a clear focus on doing good work.
