About this job
We’re looking for compassionate and caring Nursing Assistants to be a key part of the patient care journey at 91 Dermot Murphy Close.
Key responsibilities
* Communicate in a sensitive and compassionate manner with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team.
* Provide consistent, high‑quality, patient‑focused care to patients with complex physical health needs.
* Support patients with personal care needs, including mobilising, toileting, bathing, dressing, eating and drinking.
* Assist with delegated clinical duties such as recording patient observations and changes to conditions following training and assessment.
* Work 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, including weekends, bank holidays and nights (internal rotation onto nights required).
* Work within a 22‑bedded, purpose‑built Continuing Care Unit located in South Manchester.
* Collaborate with Registered Nurses and adhere to Trust guidelines and protocols to deliver excellent patient care.
Qualifications and experience
* Experience as a Nursing Assistant or related healthcare support role.
* Willingness to undertake training and assessment for delegated clinical care duties.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team.
* Capacity to work flexible hours, including weekends, bank holidays and rotation onto nights.
* Commitment to continuous learning – completion of the Support Worker Development Programme leads to progression to a Band 3 Nursing Assistant role.
