As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Consultancy team. We are looking for a highly motivated Resilience Consultant to deliver our core client services and support the development of our ESG services.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Consultancy and Lead Resilience Consultants, you will support and deliver our core resilience services, including crisis management, business continuity, and risk management. This is a client-facing role requiring strong communication and relationship management skills, solid analytical capability, and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
As we grow our ESG service offering, there is an opportunity to help shape ESG-focused projects for a diverse range of clients across the UK and internationally. If this is of interest, you will support the development of our ESG offering and contribute to our Net Zero strategy.
You will work on impactful projects that directly enhance organisational resilience, helping clients understand their risks, strengthen preparedness, and embed resilience at a strategic level.
About You
We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional with a strong interest in resilience, problem-solving, sustainability, and ESG. This role requires strong analytical capability and the ability to translate complex challenges into practical, client-focused solutions.

Essential Requirements
* Legal right to live and work in the UK
* UK or EU passport (required for client travel)
* Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally for up to 40% of your time
* Valid UK or EU driving licence
Role Responsibilities
This is a Resilience Consultant role, a large proportion of your time will be spent client-facing, managing projects and delivering Horizonscan’s core services. You will be required to:
* Research, design and develop Horizonscan’s services
* Support resilience projects, including analysis, documentation, and client recommendations
* Prepare and maintain client materials, including policies, BCPs, BIAs, Risk Registers, and reports
* Facilitate client meetings, workshops, presentations, and training sessions
* Design exercise scenarios
* Support team members
* Support the development and delivery of our ESG services
* Plan and organise client visits and project logistics
* Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professional development
Desirable Requirements
* An interest in ESG and sustainability, and/or experience supporting ESG, climate risk, or Net Zero-related projects
* Proficiency in a second language
* Practical experience in the private sector or within risk/resilience, emergency services, local authorities, insurance, or the military
* Relevant Professional certifications
* Degree-level education in a relevant discipline
* Living locally in Kent or able to travel to our offices
Recent consultancy experience in business continuity, risk management, ISO standards, ESG or sustainability is highly valued.
Salary & Benefits
* £37,000 – £42,000 depending on skills and experience

Please Note
* This is a full-time role based at our Head Office in Broadstairs, Kent
* Working hours are 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
* You must be able to work from the Broadstairs office in line with our hybrid policy
* During your probationary period, you will be primarily office-based. Afterwards, hybrid working requires a minimum of two days per week in the office
