Project overview
Our client is seeking a Delivery Lead (Product Owner) to support their Flexibility Markets program. The role involves enabling registration of battery market assets, allowing participants to buy and sell energy back to the grid.
The Delivery Lead will operate at the intersection of energy domain expertise, policy and process review, and product delivery, working closely with technical teams and industry participants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the Product Owner for Flexible Market Asset Registration initiatives within the energy domain.
* Collaborate with the technical team to define the product plan, manage the backlog, and ensure alignment with governance and policy standards.
* Drive the delivery and launch of new products in the market, ensuring regulatory and operational requirements are met.
* Review and refine policies, standards, and processes for battery market registration.
* Engage and manage stakeholders, including internal teams, industry participants, and external partners.
* Provide domain knowledge in electricity and energy markets to guide decision-making and product design.
* Ensure robust product governance, roadmap execution, and adherence to timelines.
* Support interactions with industry participants to align requirements and validate the product solution.
Ideal Profile:
* Proven Product Ownership and Project Management expertise in the energy or electricity sector.
* Strong experience in energy markets, particularly around batteries, energy trading, or flexibility markets.
* Track record of delivering and launching products in market environments.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with technical and cross-functional teams.
* Experience in policy, standard, and process review in regulated sectors is highly desirable.
