Multi-Skilled Engineer
Fresh People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing operation based in Canterbury, operating within a fast-paced FMCG production environment.
Due to continued investment and site development, a Multi-Skilled Engineer is required to join the Engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a strong opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a high-volume manufacturing site with a clear focus on reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, responding to reactive breakdowns, and supporting engineering projects to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of site machinery and equipment.
You will play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment performance, and supporting a safe and compliant production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules, ensuring work is completed efficiently and accurately recorded
Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime
Undertake proactive fault finding and root cause analysis to prevent repeat issues
