The Project Finance - Lenders Insurance Advisory team is a leading global team involved in some of the biggest and most complex projects globally and currently works in over 40 territories. The team supports lenders in assessing the risk and insurance requirements for high value complex commercial projects. Lenders need to ensure that the borrower has arranged a comprehensive insurance programme whilst remaining within the bounds of commercial experience. Our specialists provide in depth knowledge and experience of energy and energy related insurance requirements and risk. Project Finance services include reporting on project risks, analysing project agreements and negotiating insurance requirements.

Role Overview
* To provide consultancy services to clients on project finance advisory work
* Support other INDECS activities as required by the Directors from time to time.
Role Specifics
With training, the type of responsibilities you will be involved in (but not limited to) will include:
Consultancy Advice
* Providing consultancy advice on insurance requirements for the project through all phases of the loan (construction, operating etc.).
* Assessing and advising clients on insurance requirements and applicable terms and conditions from a lender’s perspective.
* Assessing and advising on local and reinsurance requirements and implications of regulatory restrictions on the lenders.
* Advising on commercial availability of insurance and ascertain implications on overall loan requirements.
* Auditing and advising on compliance of loan agreement adherence as regards insurance procured by borrowers.
Report Writing
* Drafting reports to lenders as regards compliance, confirmation of applicability of coverage, deviations from loan agreement requirements.
* Assisting in drafting and negotiation of insurance provisions in loan agreements.
* Reviewing and commenting on risk allocation and insurance provisions in relevant contracts (e.g. Construction contracts, Operating and Maintenance contracts, Raw material purchase and finished product sales contracts).
* Advising parties on issues as regards compliance or otherwise with loan agreement, and support lenders in finding resolution.
Relationship Management
* Developing existing and new business opportunities on a worldwide basis.
* Promoting the company at external functions, lectures etc.
* As required, communicating with risk managers, insurance managers, project managers, brokers, lawyers, underwriters, technical consultants on risk and insurance related issues of clients.
* Preparing client invoices and narratives and assisting with accounts as necessary.
* Providing general support and ad hoc assistance as required.
We will involve you in meetings with clients, managing our large cases and creating/reviewing reports.
Candidate Requirements
* Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
* Highly ambitious - someone who wants to continue growing their career as well as progress with further studies.
* A Self-starter – you will be proactive and willing to generate opportunities to learn and improve your skills
* Organised
* Confident and articulate with excellent communication skills – able to converse with all levels and types of people within the insurance and finance industry
* Able to demonstrate excellent written skills to create clear, concise and easy to understand reports on complex subjects
* Analytical
* A strong team player
* Fluency in another language is desirable but not essential.
* Previous working experience desirable but not essential.
