Position Overview
This position offers a great opportunity to work within the engineering function supporting the ramp-up at the Broughton plant.
Responsibilities
* Ensure successful industrialization of SA Jigs and Tools Requests and supporting Projects, from creation, development, and modification until final acceptance and handover to Operations.
* Integrate mature industrial technologies in line with R&D.
* Collaborate with R&D to integrate requirements and consolidate Airbus Industrial Vision.
* Design and specify Jigs and Tools assets according to requirements.
* Contribute to CDT MFT for production investigations utilizing tooling and metrology skills.
Tasks
* Qualification of Jigs and Tools assets.
* Interpret aircraft design models and relay information into operations and support.
* Define certification, re-certification, qualification, and re-qualification processes, features, and schedules.
* Conduct Jigs and Tools Technical Assessments.
* Prepare Jigs and Tools Technical Acceptance Reports.
* Develop Jigs and Tools assets Design and Manufacturing data sets.
Required Skills
* Ability to operate from first principles in manufacturing disciplines, making technical decisions daily.
* Knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
* Experience with aircraft production, engineering methods, and procedures.
* Understanding of interactions between Manufacturing Engineering and other functions.
* Leadership skills and self-motivation are desirable.
* Experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
