Advanced Nurse Practitioner | Merseyside | £45,000 - £50,000pa
Castlefield are looking for a dynamic and highly skilled Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a growing and successful team. The successful ANP will ideally be MSc accredited in Advanced Nursing Practice or currently on a trajectory to complete your MSc.
This is a unique opportunity to provide advanced, person-centred clinical care across urgent and primary care settings. You will work autonomously to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a broad range of conditions - both face-to-face and via telephone consultations, with a caseload that includes adults and children.
About You
1. MSc in Advanced Nursing Practice or be on an identified pathway to achieving full MSc accreditation
2. Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300) status
3. Level 7 clinical diagnostics and assessment qualifications
4. Experience in urgent or primary care settings
5. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while delivering quality patient-centred care
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Practice:
6. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment for undifferentiated, undiagnosed, and complex patient needs
7. Conduct assessments from physiological and psychological perspectives.
8. Manage both acute and chronic conditions through clinical reasoning, prescribing, and care planning
9. Provide advice on medications, interactions, side effects, and treatment compliance
10. Prioritise health concerns and respond effectively in urgent/emergency scenarios
11. Promote health and wellbeing through education and self-care strategies
Communication:
12. Demonstrate high-level, compassionate communication with patients, carers, and clinical teams
13. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring informed consent and appropriate information sharing
14. Anticipate and address communication barriers with innovative solutions
Quality & Governance:
15. Maintain accurate clinical records in line with NMC standards
16. Contribute to audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical effectiveness evaluations
17. Engage in clinical supervision and support shared learning across the organisation
18. Participate in incident reviews and use governance frameworks (e.g., RCA) for continuous improvement
