* Salary: Scale 5 points 12-17 £28,598 - £31,022 (FTE) | Start: Autumn Term 2025

We're recruiting for a King's Adventure Leader to join our team of highly skilled and experienced leaders.

This role is central to advancing the Great Schools Trust's ambition for an unsurpassed enrichment entitlement, being part of the King's Adventure programme to promote personal growth, build social capital, and nurture future-ready citizens.

The postholder will deliver high-impact enrichment experiences across all academies, embedding them in curriculum and culture, aligned with the Trust's ASPIRE values and leadership blueprint. They will ensure every pupil accesses a rich entitlement offer, including social action, Cadets, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award, while teaching and supporting the 18 pledges from ages 4–16.

About the Role

The postholder will support on the delivery of the King's Adventure programme, coordinating the 18 pledges across primary and secondary academies and embedding enrichment within the curriculum. They will oversee and support the Combined Cadet Force and Duke of Edinburgh Award, including training, expeditions, and equipment management, as well as act as Educational Visits Co-ordinator, ensuring safe and high-quality trips and events.

The role also includes delivering the Leadership curriculum and residentials, working with staff and pupils to promote ASPIRE values, and collaborating with partners to secure funding and expand opportunities. A commitment to safeguarding, equality, health and safety, and professional development is essential, alongside flexibility to support Trust-wide enrichment and out-of-hours activities.

Who We're Looking For

* Minimum 2 years' experience in cadet or outdoor education programmes
* Experience teaching groups of pupils (primary and/or secondary age)
* Proven leadership and mentoring of cadets and instructors
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Office and Cadet MIS (e.g. Bader, Westminster)
* Highly organised with strong diary and logistics management
* Ability to collaborate effectively with external partners and agencies
* Team player with energy, resilience, and the ability to inspire young people
* Willingness to upskill and commit to ongoing professional development
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and health & safety
