Responsibilities
* Overall responsibility for the line-management, clinical, operational & performance functions. This will involve ensuring effective & efficient resource utilisation, awareness of financial impact, the delivery of evidence-based patient care & a safe service.
* With the HoH, you will provide clear, visible leadership, vision & clinical expertise to enhance the service user experience.
* Implementation of the contracted service development & improvements, day-to-day service clinical performance, workforce & budget management, professional clinical leadership & clinical governance incorporating meeting service quality, patient/offender safety & care standards.
* With the HoH the you will be responsible for monitoring & reporting on all relevant contractual targets including the DoHs Prison Health Performance & Quality Indicators.
* Be the senior nurse manager contact for primary care on all managerial & all clinical matters.
* Attending Trust & Prison led meetings as required. The effective integration of primary care services with all other aspects of the prison health service & the prison's core day is an essential responsibility.
* Operate flexibly within a challenging healthcare environment, involving multiple providers, while being an ambassador for Healthcare & CNWL.
* Support the Team in the creation of effective pathways of care for the patients served.
* Deputise for the HoH & oversee peer healthcare service manager areas as required.
* Working within a multi-disciplinary service team approach.
