As a Procurement Officer, you’ll support the procurement of goods and services required for the manufacture and installation of modular buildings. Working closely with procurement, estimating, manufacturing and project teams, you’ll help ensure materials and services are sourced accurately, on time and in line with specifications.
This is a practical, delivery‑focused role where you’ll balance purchasing, supplier coordination, cost awareness and schedule support in a fast‑paced modular manufacturing environment. This position is offered on a 6‑month fixed‑term basis, with the potential to transition to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
* Procure goods and services in line with project specifications and procurement schedules
* Create and manage purchase orders, requisitions and variations
* Coordinate with suppliers to achieve DIFOT (delivery in full, on time) outcomes
* Monitor procurement schedules and flag risks, delays or supply issues early
* Resolve supply, product, invoicing and credit issues
* Complete quantity take‑offs and support estimating with pricing requirements
* Maintain accurate procurement records, databases and supplier information
* Identify cost‑saving or process improvement opportunities and elevate as appropriate
About You
You’re an organised and detail‑focused procurement professional who enjoys working closely with site, estimating and supplier teams. You’re comfortable managing multiple priorities and take pride in accuracy, follow‑through and practical problem‑solving. You’ll also bring:
* Experience in a procurement or purchasing role, ideally within construction or manufacturing
* Sound understanding of the building industry and relevant Australian standards
* Strong numeracy, attention to detail and documentation skills
* Confidence preparing RFQs, supporting negotiations and evaluating supplier responses
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team environment
* Strong time management skills in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven setting
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience (e.g. Navision) highly regarded
