Job Description:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a results-focused travel industry professional to join a leading Tour Operator as a Regional Agency Sales Manager. Covering the Midlands, this role involves working as an integral part of the Sales Team to maintain and increase sales of our client’s products to UK Travel Agents.
The successful candidate will develop and build on existing relationships to ensure continued support of our client’s products. They’ll develop new business opportunities, plan, and carry out sales and marketing activities, including training and presenting on new products to ensure agents have a full understanding of the offerings.
The role suits those with a strong travel industry background, previous field-sales experience, and excellent relationship-building skills. Responsibilities of the Regional Agency Sales Manager:
1. Arrange meetings with agents, ensuring all agents throughout the area are visited regularly.
2. Maintain close relationships with existing travel agent partners within the region.
3. Develop new ways to grow business in the region.
4. Lead overseas FAM trips and represent the business at UK or overseas conferences, functions, and networking events.
5. Collaborate with commercial partners and key agents to develop deals, including marketing and promotional plans to increase mutual business.
6. Seek and develop new trade partners through all potential avenues.
7. Analyze statistical data for regional sales meetings.
8. Plan and support local marketing activities like product launches, events, promotions, advertising, and exhibitions.
9. Assist the Marketing team with marketing activities.
10. Monitor market and competitor activities, providing relevant insights.
11. Create and maintain a database of agents for personalized communication about incentives, offers, and news.
