This is a fantastic opportunity to provide business support to a deep tech investment firm founded by scientists, entrepreneurs, and operators. Their mission is to bridge the gap between groundbreaking scientific discoveries and the resources needed to bring them to life. By backing early-stage startups and university spinouts, they empower the next generation of innovators to turn their research into impactful, real-world solutions.
The team operates at the intersection of science, technology, and entrepreneurship- combining an early-stage investment fund, a venture studio for co-creating startups, and a fast-growing media and content arm built around a YouTube audience of over 2 million subscribers. The firm’s small, high-performing team of around ten people works remotely, with access to office space in Central London.
Support:
As a Founders Associate, you will:
* Act as a strategic partner to the founders, helping prioritise initiatives, manage workflows, and keep projects on track
* Assist in the setup and launch of new company branches and operational structures
* Drive cross-functional projects across the fund, venture studio, and media initiatives, ensuring clear timelines, accountability, and follow-ups
* Support fundraising and investor relations efforts, including preparing materials, tracking communications, and managing investor pipelines
* Oversee internal operations, including documentation systems, knowledge management, and process improvements
* Identify opportunities to optimise workflows and proactively suggest solutions to operational challenges
* Maintain oversight of founders’ schedules and priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Ideal person:
* At least 2 years’ experience as an Executive Assistant, Project Coordinator, or similar role in a high-pressure environment
* Prior experience at a startup or early-stage company is highly valued
* Interest in deep science, technology, and entrepreneurship
* Exceptionally organised, detail-oriented, and proactive; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing materials for investors, partners, and internal teams
* Tech-savvy, with experience using digital productivity tools (Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, etc.)
* Ability to take ownership of projects, follow through on action items, and anticipate the needs of founders
Competence is more important than experience in our search.
