We are seeking an IDD HealthCare Assistant to work within the Inpatient Assessment & Treatment Team at the Orion Unit, a specialised 8‑bed inpatient service for adults with intellectual disability and complex mental health needs, located at Highbury Hospital, Bulwell, Nottingham.
As a healthcare assistant you will be expected to:
* Work as part of the team undertaking the assessment, care and treatment of patients, adopting a recovery‑oriented and holistic approach towards their eventual discharge.
* Participate in any future training identified to fulfil the role of the Healthcare Assistant, and pursue opportunities for training and development in areas of particular interest.
Applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced). This cost will be deducted from salary over the first two months of employment. Annual DBS Update Service fee of £16 per year also applies.
