Salary: £25,322 - £25,623 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 7.5 per week, 40 weeks sessional
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 6am to 7:30am
As a cleaner with the City of Edinburgh Council, you'll be a key member of our Facilities Management team. You'll deliver essential cleaning services across our estate to ensure properties are safe and clean for work or learning. Major Tasks/Job Activities:
* Empty litter and recycling bins
* Clean all surfaces, internal glass, floors, furniture, fixtures, and fittings within buildings
* Clean sanitary areas, toilets, showers, and replenish washroom supplies
* Perform emergency and reactive cleaning (graffiti removal, spillages, etc.)
* Maintain cleanliness of all equipment used
* Support cleaning tasks across other buildings as needed
* Meet cleaning specifications and cooperate with performance standards
Facilities Management is responsible for keyholding, enabling opening and closing of buildings. As a Cleaning Operative, you will be required to hold keys and operate security systems to ensure premises are secure when closed.
This role is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. The successful candidate will need to join or update their PVG Scheme membership and provide the necessary checks. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
