Make UK is seeking skilled electrical professionals to join their team in providing essential training to the next generation of engineers. As a further education provider, Make UK offers an engaging workplace where you will mentor and guide Manufacturing & Engineering apprentices.
The role involves developing and delivering engineering courses with qualifications such as Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds. You will teach electrical skills up to level 3.
Applications are open to industry professionals looking to transition into education; training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
2. Creating course materials including handouts and references
3. Delivering practical training to apprentices and adults
4. Creating a motivational learning environment
5. Assessing learner progress and providing feedback
Qualifications and skills required:
* Time-served apprentice or relevant City and Guilds (part 3), Technical Certificate, or higher qualification
* Level 3 (or higher) teacher training qualification (desired)
* A1 and V1 (desired)
* Industrial experience and knowledge of current industry standards (desirable)
* Good presentation and communication skills
