Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week - 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday however hours may slightly flex
Location: Arla Foods LS10 1AX/ Yorkshire mobile
We are seeking an apprentice trained Multi-disciplined Technician with a strong Electrical bias to be responsible for all day to day maintenance activities at one of our customer locations in Leeds, alongside working with the Yorkshire mobile engineering team. The scope of your activities will consist of maintenance to boilers, refrigeration equipment, air handling systems, compressed air systems etc and all the auxiliary and ancillary plant used to support the continued successful delivery of our services to the customer.

What will you be doing?
To be aware of and work within company Health Safety and Environment and Quality systems
Environmental reporting of incidents to line management
Housekeeping
Diagnosing and repairing faults on an extensive range of electrical/ mechanical equipment
Carry out Root Cause Analysis and play an active role in investigating recurring faults and engineering solutions.
Carrying out Planned preventative & reactive maintenance
Identification and purchase of essential maintenance spares
Preparing procedures and risk assessment for maintenance tasks
To liaise with operation staff as appropriate
Takes ownership of problems and solutions.
Planning and carrying out improvement projects
Supervision of maintenance sub-contractors
Carry out other reasonable tasks and duties as requested by management
work on all the sites Mechanical/ Electrical assets including pumps, motors, compressors. You will accurately record maintenance using a CMMS to help plan future maintenance activities.
Work on a call out rota to respond to site out of hours during emergencies and work occasional weekends (1 in 4)
Stock control of site maintenance spares
What are we looking for?
A time served mechanical or electrical technician with proven experience in maintenance on a utilities plant or similar heavy industrial environment
ONC/ NQV Level 3 or City and Guilds qualified or other recognized certification by a recognised body
Strong health and safety knowledge
Detailed knowledge of plant and maintenance systems and their functionality, especially computer based.
Appropriate IT skills (confident use of Google,CMMS, email etc.)
Knowledge of Incineration and Power Generation or similar industry would be advantageous
Experienced in carrying out mechanical/ electrical maintenance in a industrial process environment such as waste to energy, power station, chemical, oil & gas, petrochemical or marine engineering.
General pipefitting & welding knowledge would be advantageous
Knowledge of electrical systems & controls
Experience in carrying out maintenance on C&I assets including its DCS and associated PLC's control systems in a heavy industrial process environment preferred but not essential
Working knowledge of pressure system regulation advantageous
Able to provide technical advice to other members
Able to supervise maintenance contractors when needed
Good team worker with good communication skills and ability to work unsupervised
Analytical ability and enthusiastic and competent problem solver with a practical approach to solving engineering problems.
