About the role

The Hospitality Department of the Property Division are responsible for providing affordable and high-quality food and services for the Imperial community and external clients. They create a valuable resource for Imperial, which in turn supports our academic community of world leaders in the provision of Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences, Business Management, Research and Teaching.
As an Accommodation Executive, you'll play an important role in developing and supporting one of Imperial's key business offerings. You will be responsible for the provision of successful sales of the undergraduate student accommodation during the summer vacation period and customer service to both internal and external customers.
Bringing your experience of sales and client management, as well as a passion for hospitality and excellent customer service skills, you'll work with the Reservations Team to drive revenue, meeting and exceeding sales targets and providing an excellent experience to our clients.
What you would be doing
You'll be responsible for meeting annual sales targets by responding to enquiries, writing proposals, meeting clients on and off site, converting bookings and coordinating all aspects of group accommodation bookings: market the vacation accommodation and conference facilities of Imperial to maximise the generation of internal and external revenue; proactively seek and secure new business; ensure a seamless handover of client bookings from sales through to operations.
The role also involves supporting the recruitment of seasonal Reservation Agents. The post holder will support the wider objective of filling available rooms with individual bookings after group business has been secured and accommodated.
What we are looking for
* Experience of a sales role, ideally in a Residential or Conference and Events environment
* Experience of client as well as account management
* Knowledge of online booking, diary and database systems and their use to support business
* Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines and demands effectively
* Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
* Strong commercial awareness and the ability to engage in effective market research
