*Job Overview*We require a Roadside Breakdown Recovery Technician/Mechanic, where your mechanical expertise and quick thinking will be vital in delivering roadside assistance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a rotating schedule of four days on, followed by two days off - there are various other shift options available. You’ll be responding to roadside breakdowns and recoveries,*Duties** Respond to roadside breakdown calls across designated areas, providing recovery and repair services.* Diagnose vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and specialized tools, including hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.* Perform repairs on-site or prepare vehicles for towing, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during recovery operations.* Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and minor repairs* Utilize vehicle maintenance skills to replace parts, jump-start batteries, and handle fluid top-ups as needed.* Maintain detailed records of all service activities, parts used, and repair procedures for each incident.* Operate various equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to health and safety standards at all times.*Qualifications** Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in vehicle repair or roadside assistance.* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.* Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.* Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy parts or equipment safely.* Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to diagnosing issues* Valid driver’s license.* Prior experience working with roadside recovery or vehicle workshop* Willingness to work flexible hoursJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to £42,238.45 per yearBenefits:* On-site parkingLicence/Certification:* UK licence (required)Work authorisation:* United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In person
