About Us
We are a leading provider of heating and fuel solutions, specialising in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of oil tanks and heating systems. With a strong reputation for quality workmanship and customer service, we are now looking for an experienced Installation Supervisor to lead our oil tank and pipework installation teams.
The Role
This is a hands-on supervisory position overseeing the installation and removal of heating oil and water storage tanks, along with associated pipework. You will manage a team of 5-7 engineers, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, while providing leadership and support.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate oil tank and pipework installation and removal projects from start to finish
Manage and support a team of 5-7 engineers and installers, providing leadership, mentoring, and motivation
Carry out site assessments and ensure compliance with industry regulations (including OFTEC and other relevant standards)
Provide technical support and guidance to engineers and apprentices
Ensure all on-site health & safety requirements are met
Manage project schedules to ensure timely, cost-effective completion
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and management to maintain strong working relationships
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of completed works
Use the company CRM system and liaise with the sales department
Identify and suggest improvements to operational processes
Lead by example, occasionally undertaking installation or service work when needed
Provide hands-on support with installations and servicing when required to ensure project deadlines are met
Requirements
Proven supervisory experience in engineering or installation fields
Knowledge of oil storage tanks, pipework systems, and installation processes
Relevant engineering certifications (e.g., OFTEC) preferred
Excellent leadership and team management skills
Strong hands-on engineering background with installation experience
Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Full UK driving licence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills
