Job summary
Creffield Medical Group has a fantastic opportunity for a personal assistant to support their clinical team on a part-time basis, for 32 hours per week on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. The position is based at Nayland Surgery.
This is a role established to support the clinical teams in carrying out day to day administrative and clinical activity. The role is at the forefront of service delivery to patients providing a source of advice and problem solving for patients.
The postholder will work closely, and under the direction of the clinical team to improve standards across a wide range of clinical and administrative activity. The position is suitable for someone who wishes to demonstrate initiative and to develop their own skills further in the practice.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide support to the clinical teams, and in the running of key systems and procedures such as enquiries, prescriptions, fit notes, medical reports, chasing hospital results and letters, form filling and general organisation duties as required to support the clinical team.
2. Deal with referrals, filing blood results with training, dealing with clinical documents and emails etc.
The post-holder will need to become familiar with all functions of the clinical system and their applications plus national and local quality standards for primary care.

Creffield Medical Group formed in June 2017. It is an amalgamation of Creffield Medical Centre, Layer Road Surgery and North Hill Medical Group (North Hill Surgery, West Bergholt Surgery and Nayland Surgery). All of the practices operate under the Partnership of Creffield Medical Group.
In 2005 we became an accredited training practice linked with Cambridge University, providing training for medical students and GP Registrars.
