We have an exciting role on offer within our Prevention, Provider & Support Service as an Assistant Cook.
We are looking for an assistant cook to join our catering team here at 22 Levick court, where you will be providing a varied, creative and nutritional menu for adults with learning disabilities.
This is a great opportunity to join an exciting service, which has a great atmosphere and is a lovely working environment.
You will have the opportunity to get to know the individuals attending the service, build relationships with them and provide meals to meet their preferences and dietary needs.
You will be involved alongside the other cook and kitchen assistant in the planning of themed days, seasonal events and celebrations where you can use your creative talents when developing menus.
The role involves elements of budgeting, planning, ordering and menu planning as well as working towards the food hygiene standards.
The successful candidate will be committed to the continuing development of Learning Disability Care services; the successful applicant will need to be committed to the values of Middlesbrough Council.
Applicants will be expected to participate in the agreed working rota which includes weekends and bank holidays as required.
