Overview of Role:
As a cleaning operative, you will be required to undertake cleaning duties across the site, ensuring a complete cleaning service is provided in compliance with CQC and Health & Safety Regulations. (The CQC is the body which makes sure health services provide people with safe, effective, and compassionate care.)
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Ensure assigned areas are clean, presentable, and serviceable at all times to improve customer experience.
* Maintain a clean and tidy environment throughout the hospital, in line with operational standards.
* Present yourself professionally, courteously, and in accordance with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and values.
* Carry out all duties related to cleaning and waste collection within designated premises.
* This role can be physically demanding and may involve lifting.
* Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks such as washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting, ensuring high hygiene standards.
* Assist with laundry duties and rotas as required.
* Use and store cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations.
* Take responsibility for maintaining your area to high standards.
* Contribute to good working relationships with colleagues and customers.
* Comply with all statutory regulations at all times.
* Perform any reasonable requests from your line manager related to your role.
About You:
* Good time management skills.
* Positive, professional, and 'can-do' attitude.
* Friendly and helpful to customers.
* Manage time effectively to complete tasks.
* Ability to work alone and within a team.
* Good communication skills.
* Enhanced DBS check may be required.
Previous cleaning experience is desirable; however, full training will be provided.
