What will you be doing?
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide excellent customer service to staff and members of the public. You will support with a wide range of administrative duties for teams across the Community Wellbeing Directorate. A typical day may include triaging and directing incoming calls from members of the public who receive support from Adult Social Care services, calls from other organisations who support individuals and from family members, distributing confidential documentation, monitoring shared mailboxes, and accurately minuting meetings held both virtually and in person within Herefordshire. The role also involves attending and coordinating budget approval and case collaboration meetings, alongside a range of general administrative duties.

* Customer-focused with excellent communication and customer service skills
* Resilient and empathic, with the capacity to engage sensitively with emotionally challenging or distressing subject matter.
* Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* Skilled in using a variety of IT systems and tools
* Accurate and detail-oriented, especially when recording data in Excel
* Highly Numerate with confidence navigating financial figures and data
