Job Description
Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council's key objectives, specifically in relation to the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
Requirements
The duties of the post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are constantly updated, and any relevant information disclosed will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
These are temporary, part-time, term-time positions. The details are as follows:
1. Post 1 - Darvel Primary School: 12.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 12:00pm - 2:30pm.
2. Post 2 - Loudoun Academy: 20 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 10:00am - 2:30pm (including a 30-minute break).
The hourly rate is £12.96. These posts are temporary until 30th April 2026, and are term-time only.
