Senior Financial Advisor
About the Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, organised individual to join LV= as a Senior Financial Advisor.
Within the role, you’ll focus on developing new business by providing accurate financial advice predominantly at retirement on a whole of market basis. You will also provide advice on savings and investment products selected from LV= and a panel of suitable companies and fund houses.
This is a full-time role offered on a permanent basis and there is a degree of flexibility around office and home working.
Please note that this is a certified role.

* Be an excellent communicator (verbal and written), with strong listening skills and the ability to successfully provide appropriate product information to prospective customers, using information they have provided.
* Identify vulnerable customers and ensure they are treated respectfully and appropriately.
* Be focused on providing a consistent, positive and reliable customer journey.
* Possess good numeracy and IT skills, with the ability to use programmes such as Microsoft and adapt to using LV= systems.
* Demonstrate expert sales and negotiation skills.
* Work against agreed KPIs to ensure business plans are achieved.
* Be driven, with the desire to learn and grow within the role.
* Effectively manage your workload and diary, ensuring conflicting priorities are dealt with efficiently.
* Ensure work submitted and advice provided is consistently accurate and meets LV’s agreed processes and suitability.
* Establish and build positive relationships within the wider team and other departments throughout the business.
* Showcase experience of working in a regulated advice environment, with previous call handling and sales experience (knowledge of retirement solutions, annuities, drawdown, pension funding and switching would be desirable but is not essential).
* Become a subject matter expert on investments and At Retirement solutions.
* Hold a Diploma in Financial Planning or Regulated Financial Planning.
* Possess relevant CPD records.
* Have previous experience as a Financial Advisor to CDI level (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities
* Working to attract new customers and retain existing customers, contributing to the delivery of the Advice and Direct’s Business Plan.
* Contributing ideas and initiatives to increase gross income/profitability.
* Providing prospective and existing customers with detailed, clear information and advice on savings, retirement, pension switching and investment products.
* Providing constructive feedback and ideas on how the advice process works well, and how it could become more efficient.
* Promoting our ongoing advice service where appropriate and conducting reviews within agreed time frames.
* Completing fact-finding exercises, formulating need and objective-based advice and preparing suitability reports.
* Proactively contacting leads as provided by the business and booking appointments in a timely manner.
* Self-generating leads by reviewing existing LV= customers, outbound calling and promoting the LVFAS Friends and Family referral scheme.
* Handling pre-qualified inbound call opportunities for savings, investments and retirement products.
* Consistently meeting required standards as defined by the LV= Risk Management function and external regulatory bodies.
* Expanding and maintaining skills and knowledge of financial services, and sharing important information with the team, ensuring that the changing needs of members are met.
* Providing support and coaching to junior members of the team where required.
* Analysing MI and utilising this to improve performance/conversion.
* Where necessary, supporting the Retirement Options Specialists and Retirement Admin Support Team to ensure a positive customer journey.
