CarmichaelUK is working in partnership with a Tier 1 JV delivering a key section of HS2 in the Buckinghamshire area, and we’re looking for an Environmental Advisor to support environmental compliance and performance across the North Chilterns to Aylesbury Delivery Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, supporting the Environment Manager to ensure delivery of contractual and regulatory requirements across site operations. Key Responsibilities: Monitor site compliance with noise and water discharge consent conditions Support supply chain in meeting environmental requirements of the HS2 contract Identify opportunities for best practice and innovation Act as the point of contact for environmental issues within a geographic area Liaise with stakeholders, including consent granting bodies Undertake audits, inspections, and environmental assurance checks Ensure timely and accurate submission of sustainability and vehicle/plant use data Support internal and external training and environmental awareness initiatives Requirements: Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field Working towards IEMA Practitioner level (or similar) Strong communication, organisation, and team collaboration skills Attention to detail with a proactive approach to monitoring and compliance Comfortable conducting environmental inspections and sampling on active civil sites Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
