About the role
A one-off position has arisen for a confident and friendly Receptionist to join our professional and close-knit business within the legal sector. The Part-time Receptionist will be joining our Support team.
We are looking for a real people’s person who builds relationships with ease and who will go that extra mile to offer an excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who is bubbly and engaging and is able to operate at a professional level at all times.
We are looking for someone with proven reception/customer service experience, ideally from an educational setting, or concierge or hospitality background coupled with some corporate experience.
Main Responsibilities
•Act as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, both in person and on the phone
•Build and maintain a good working relationship with colleagues and stakeholders
•Carry out daily checks to ensure the smooth running of the reception areas
•Book and arrange meetings and meeting rooms as required
• Clear the meeting rooms following any meetings in order to maintain a high level of professional standards
• Receive and manage the distribution of any deliveries
•Arrange couriers and post
•Accompanying ad-hoc admin tasks as and when required
Key skills and experience
•Similar work experience is advantageous but not essential
•Excellent organisation and time management skills
•Excellent attention to detail
•Excellent communication skills
•Empathetic approach
The following criteria are essential to the role:
The candidate must have a valid right to work in the UK for an extended period. Right to work checks will be conducted before an employment offer is made.
Pension
The post-holder will be enrolled automatically in the GN Law’s pension scheme.
Contract type
Permanent, subject to satisfactory completion of a 6-month probationary period.
Part-time hours:
22.5 Hours spread across 3 days: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 to 5:30pm
Annual leave
20 days plus public holidays. The leave year is 1 January-31 December and leave is calculated on a pro rata basis.
We offer an enhanced package of maternity/shared parental pay.
Following successful completion of the probationary period, the appointment may be terminated by not less than 2 months’ notice in writing by either side.
