The role – EC&I Project Engineer This is an exceptional opportunity, within William Grant’s flagship distillery in Girvan, to develop and deliver Capital & Special Revenue projects focused on increasing site capabilities and improving sitewide process efficiencies. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of a range of simultaneously running capital investment projects, programme and project management and providing EC&I engineering expertise. You will have a broad and varied range of duties and responsibilities including; Scoping, design and delivery of capital projects across the Girvan site Conducting financial analysis and provision of supporting operational and budgetary justifications and leading to full CAPEX submissions with clear investment cases. Ensuring all EC&I project works meet company, product and industry / regulatory requirements Ensuring all EC&I project works meet company targets in relation to quality, delivery and cost Providing technical EC&I support within the multi-disciplined project team Project tendering including Supplier / Contractor sourcing, evaluation, selection and on-going relationship development to ensure maximum value-add whilst maintaining contractual protection Implement capital projects to address plant issues, equipment obsolescence, capacity/ productivity increases, health & safety and environmental improvement initiatives Identify and quantify development plans for input into the site Master Plans along with relevant budgets and appropriate justification Ideally minimum degree qualified within a relevant EC&I related qualification, you will have a wealth of experience leading and managing multiple simultaneously running high value CAPEX projects. You will be able to demonstrate proven success in leading and managing a broad range and value of projects from initial concept through all design and development stages through installation to commissioning and post commissioning operation including all budgetary control. You will have a first-class technical knowledge with an ability to ensure all non-technical stakeholders fully comprehend work activities and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will have first-class managerial experience and be well versed in effectively leading and managing projects whilst developing first class relationships with all contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and all other internal and external stakeholder groups. You will be highly proficient in operational use of both project management methodologies & continuous improvement techniques and analysis as well as knowledge of current health & safety/ environmental compliance.
